The Joys of Returning to Work after the Holidays
The joys of returning to work after the holidays:
1. Getting up after your sleep schedule has slipped several hours.
2. The stench of men on the subway wearing cheap cologne they got as a gift (often combined with the smell of cigarettes).
3. Finding out your boss has added two televisions to the three that were already driving you crazy.
4. Discovering your coffee milk has soured over the weekend even though the expiration date hasn't been reached.
5. Realizing that although the things you requested were done in your absence, none of the real problems have gone away.
6. Settling back in and picking up the threads to reassert the illusion of control.
Repeat after me, "I am sincerely grateful to be gainfully employed."
