Costuming Horror

I pout and stamp my little feet.

I've been working on some new garb, which was coming along fine.

Last night I tried on the bodice. It doesn't fit. Too small, of course.

Yet another bodice made from exactly the same pattern still closes with no problem.

I can think of a number of reasons, i.e the front closure stretches differently than the back closure, the lining is stiffer, etc., etc. But it changes not that I had hoped to present a credible appearance this weekend in honor of the artisans and shall now shamefully show up in in old Flemish jacket made by another (and more skillfull) seamstress.
