terrshee's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V for Vacuous V for Vendetta, V for Vacuous. What a disappointment. I'm usually fascinated by how you adapt another medium to a movie; graphic novels have so much potential. (See Sin City, which had its flaws, but was powerful.) Perhaps it is simply that the graphic novel wasn't that good? I never read it, so I don't know. But where the movie may have posed some interesting questions, it then dodged them with cliche and adolescent posturing. Pooh. Should I have hoped for better? The audience at which it is aimed is adolecent and addicted to cliche. Why is the world so full of potential and so empty of accomplishment? 11:19 a.m. - 2006-03-20 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- past tense - always tense - future tense |
