Days of Wanks and Reporters

Days of tedium in the press room. If you follow the financial news at all you know that on Monday CNBC reported a comment by the Fed chairmain made over the weekend. It moved the markets, but more than that, it moved the news services.

There has been an unending stream of speculative wanking about whether Bartiromo violated the implicit rule about the WCA dinner being off the record and a social occasion, and what the chairman's comment really means.

Mostly though, I think it comes down to she got the scoop and no one else did, and if the rules have changed and suddenly reporters have to be on all the time and sources will become even more wary and close-mouthed.


Limbo, limbo, grade limbo. I'm still waiting for the grade on my last assignment. I want to know, dammit. I especially want to know before I take the final. I've crunched the numbers. An "A" is out of the question, but a "B" is possible, if ....

Back to the mantra, "All I have to do is pass, all I have to do is pass ..."
