No Public Smoking in Italy!
A small, but definite, happiness this morning; I was reading the newspaper during my commute on the subway, and there was an article about a ban on public smoking in Italy going into effect today. Hoo-ray!
I had been dreading the restaurant experience because I loathe cigarette smoke (and any other type of smoke for that matter), and the Italians are fond of their cigarettes. So now I'm actually thinking about dining out at one of the finer establishments because I may actually be able to enjoy it.
And the article mentioned that the British are thinking about imposing a ban similar to Ireland's. What can I say? Travel to Europe suddenly becomes even more attractive. Hmmm, I almost have enough miles for a business class ticket to London ...
