Tuesday Already?

Is there anything lovlier than a two hour nap on the couch with a purring cat curled up on your stomach? Well, had it not been in part because I was still a trifle doped up from this morning's colonoscopy it might have been better, but on the whole I can't complain.

My nether innards are apparently quite healthy except for a single polyp that is now gone. Not surprisingly I'm still a bit blah from the preparation. However, I feel quite well otherwise. And very glad to have that out of the way. Next is scoping out the other end, but that may yet be avoided. I'll know two weeks.

Oh, and my red blood cells are oversized for some reason, but a course of B-12 and Folic Acid should fix me up. TMI, I know.

And now I'm taking a break from the class note writing slog. This is getting really annoying. I am interested in the subject, and it is cool to review a lot of this material. Now why, why, why don't I want to get my notes together? Anyway, I came up with the approach that I will make a list of 100 things I want to say in class, based on a 50 minute period, that's two things per minute and should be enough to talk about. I've just finished #63.

Oh, and on Sunday, after an excellent lunch of filet mignon, asparagas and hash browned potatoes, I saw the movie Layer Cake; very good British noir about the drug trade. If you like cool, subtle movies with ironic humor, you'll like this one. Civilization is not without its pleasures, and Sunday's was only marred by trying to get home through the Rolling Thunder rally traffic. I suppose one must put up with some inconvenience for the sake of public expression.
