Reagan's coffin

Can anyone tell me why showing pictures of Reagan's flag-draped coffin is fine, but taking pictures of similar coffins of returning military dead is unseemly?

My cynical nature suggests that it is alright when the Bush administration can point to a successful Republican, but not when it is symbolic of pain and sacrifice.

The dead should be honored, not exploited.
