Strangers in my Condo

There's something a little eerie in the process of showing your home when it is on sale.

Periodically you receive a message that strangers are about to invade your space and pass judgment on its worthiness as a place in which to live.

You disappear for an hour or two, then come back to find that small things are out of place, like closet doors you don't normally close being shut, or that the curtains have been opened.

The only direct evidence of their presence is a nice little business card with the picture of a happy realtor's face. You never really know who's been there.

It is all vaguely distrubing; even the cat seems a bit perturbed.

Ah well, soon begun and soon over, I sort of hope. The listing hit the Internet yesterday, and as of this morning there have been five appointments scheduled to take a look (of which four are actually going to take place). The only downside to the speed is figuring out where I'm going to live when it is all done. I really, really, really thought I'd have more time.
