Florence Day 7

Florence Day 7: I had an hour or two to kill before going to the aiport, so have made one last circuit of some of my favorite exteriors.

I realized that in many ways I like Florence much more than London. I think it may be the scale of the place. I can walk to almost any of the major attractions and now feel I know my way around a bit. Whereas in London I'm happy if I know which underground stop to use. As a city, I find Florence far more personal.

In any case, I suddenly find myself reluctant to leave in spite of how much I miss my home. I've had a week of peace and beauty and it is difficult to think about all the busy-ness that awaits me.

Ah well, I'll be happy when I get back, the human mind being what it is. ;-)
