Mom Does Have Cancer
My sweet little mother (she's 5 feet tall and 90 pounds) has got an "undifferentiated carcinoma" if I remember the diagnosis aright. That means she has cancer but they don't know what type yet. Yipee. She's being all stoic and brave and I'm not sure what I'm feeling yet. Relief that there is a diagnosis, and in some way comforted that it is something treatable (we hope). But worried that this strange health karma that seems to be permeating the world does not favor her. However, she's in otherwise pretty good health, so I can hope for the best.
One thing at a time, one day at a time. Let's see what the oncologist has to say after she's seen him or her.
