What Was He Thinking?

It was a truly surreal moment.

Yesterday I was lying on the couch doing the channel surfing thing with the cat purring contentedly in my lap. I was in the alpha brain wave zone.

I clicked on a figure skating program for a few minutes. Out comes the U.S. men's champion with a new routine. His costume has got this weird sort of pesudo-toga draped over one shoulder, some smears of red in a few spots on the body. Huh? No sequins?

Turns out the routine is called "Child of Nazareth" and he's skating an interpretation of the Passion.

I made unseemly snorting noises for a very long time.
